Awards or not, Gods and Monsters is a very solid film, and the fact that Fraser can hang with the great Sir Ian McKellen on screen speaks measures about his potential. He enjoys science fiction movies, books, and television, and is a huge fan of South Florida sports teams. He currently has a career as a medical malpractice defense attorney, but he pops in from time to time to leave a comment or write a guest post. I must be really retarded.
I gotta put my bid in for Blast From the Past. Worth rewatching and never not-enjoyable. Airheads is a greatly underated comedy in my opinion, Sandler and Buscemi are great, but then you got the side story with Chris Farely, the epic douchebaggery of Judd Nelson and Michael McKean combined and of course the entire crowd interaction:. He wishes to become a rock star. One of the funniest scenes never to make a movie. With Honors is an incredible movie also.
He is up against an incredible Joe Pesci, and delivers a wonderful performance. There are far worse actors in hollywood ie Jamie Kennedy. Walken is great.
It also contained pre-cherub Alicia Silverstone as a bonus. Encino Man anyone? Say what you will about Pauly Shore, but that movie launched him. And the last episode that he appears is very dramatic, one of the most touching moments of Scrubs. He was pretty damn awesome in Encino Man as everyone has already pointed out. And I agree with Airheads. Such an udnerrated and little known comedy. And because Steve mentioned him, we really need a Pauly Shore post.
He may be hated, but how can you not love freaking BioDome? I also like crash as well. Ok, I have to say it. Monkey Bone. Definetely i would have to say George of the Jungle, it is so fun and Brendan Frasier looks really good!
I like him as an actor. He has a wide range when it comes to movies. Regarding his bad movies, I never would have watched them anyway, they just look like horrible movie ideas. For a while, Brendan Fraser was everywhere. In the late s and early noughties, the actor became a major movie star, with roles in films like George of the Jungle , The Mummy franchise , Encino Man and Crash.
But in the mids, after reaching arguably the height of his career, Fraser disappeared from Hollywood completely. Recently fans have gotten behind the actor as he braces to make a long-awaited Hollywood comeback. In , Fraser claimed to be "blacklisted" by Hollywood.
Fraser spoke out in an interview with GQ alleging he was sexually assaulted by a former president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. This alleged incident caused Fraser to spiral into a depression.
And he starts moving it around," the actor said. I felt like a little kid. I felt like there was a ball in my throat. I thought I was going to cry. Suddenly, it felt like Fraser might be staging a comeback.
In , Fraser appeared in an AOL video interview as if he was on the verge of tears. He was. In , Fraser revealed that the interview took place just after the death of his mother. But in the internet did not know that fact. They just saw a sad video of a man and turned it into a much-circulated meme. Right now, Fraser has a few films on the docket. Regardless, The Mummy is still Fraser at his leading man best. Go to Netflix and cue it up.
